Let us take your Feng Shui Kua Number for example, it can give important insights into your potential and capacity. In short it is the number that represents the directions which is best or which is worst for you.

How to calculate your Kua Number?

Some simple mathematical steps act as a Feng Shui Kua number calculator. For example I choose the birthday 27. 03.(March) 1984, add only the last two digits:
Add 8 + 4 = 12
Add 1 + 2 = 3

For women take the end result of the addition and add up 5
(3 + 5 = 8)
For men take 10 and subtract the end result of the addition
(10 - 3 = 7)
So if you are a woman, with the birth date 27.03.1984 your Feng Shui Kua Number is 8. If you are a man it is 7.

There are some exceptions from this formula! If your birthday is between 01. January and mid February you have to figure out, if the Chinese new year started already. The Chinese calculate their calendar after the moon and that makes the differences. Each year the Chinese new year starts at a different date in January or February. Here you can check the date for your birth year: chinese new year dates
Lets instead calculate the Feng Shui Kua Number for of 27.01.1972. The Chinese new year starts on 15.02. (February) 1972, therefore subtract 1 year from your birth year, it is 1971 now. Add like shown before and you get 7+1=8.
For woman born on this date the Feng Shui Kua Number is (8+5=13, 1+3=4) 4
For man it is (10-8=2) 2.
The other exception are birth dates after the year 2000. For female add 6 and for male subtract from 9.

Lets again take the first example , a female born on 27.03.1984, her Feng Shui Kua Number is 8. In Feng Shui terms that means your perfect direction is the north-east. In that case it would be the best to place her vision board in north-east direction, when she sits on her desk she should face north-east, and she should place a wealth symbol in the north-eastern corner of her study or living-room.

Vision Board Examples

For those who have never heard about it, I would like to give you some vision board examples. 

A vision samples a collection of photos, or cuttings from newspapers, brochures, magazine or advertisements. The images on these pictures reflect your wishes and desires. If you take a look at my vision board examples you get the idea.

You would like to own a sports car? Cut it out of a brochure and put it on your visionboard. You found your dream house, but can not afford it now, take a picture and add it to the vision board. You dream of an expensive designer watch, add an image to it. Collect as many images as you like, everything you dream about but can not afford now.

  Creating a vision board:

Buy a big frame and assemble all the pictures and cuttings on it. Take a nice picture of yourself too and place it just in the middle, so that you are surrounded of your wealth. Than take the frame and place it on a wall, for example in your office. Everytime you take a look at your visionboard, close your eyes for a few seconds and imagine that you already got all you wished for and enjoy it.

My life changed dramatically since I first watched the famous teachers of "The Secret". Vision board, affirmations and the other mind changing techniques are real worth a try. The Benefit Of UV Suntan For Our Health

These days our civilization suffers from a lack of UV suntan in our daily lives. We get out of the house into our cars, drive to work, get into the office and the same back home. Count the minutes you let some sunshine into your eyes and onto your skin, it will be only a few every day! The opposite happens when we go on holiday, we try to get all the sunshine we missed over months in just a couple of days. That´s bad either.


With an UV suntan of only 30 minutes a day (10-20 minutes will do for very people with fair skin), our health would benefit enormous. Let me give you a list of the positive effects of a healthy UV suntan:


Sunlight and health benefits:
first of all think of the UV light as food in general, without we can not survive.
Have a look at the positive effects:
activates the vitamin D synthesis.
lowers the blood pressure.
increases the heart activity.
lowers the cholesterol levels.
helps against skin diseases.
helps fighting infectious diseases.
increases the production of sexual hormone.
prevents caries.
activates important hormone of the skin.
reduces stress hormone.
provides repair mechanisms of the chromosomes,
and with a light UV suntan you can reduce your risk of getting osteoporosis.


It´s incredible, isn´t it? Today we suffer from so many "lifestyle" diseases and could cure so many of them so easily! But it is all about proportionality, too much sun exposure could do damage also. Instead of burning in the sun like a steak on the BBQ in our beach holidays, we could do some activities in the shade as well. We could take less sun screen lotion, which ingredients are in suspicion to cause skin cancer too, see below:

PABA, used for many years as the first ingredient in most sunscreens, is a mutagen and carcinogen, causing damage to human cell DNA.

Benzophenone, used to absorb UVB rays, is used in industrial processes to create free radicals as a catalyst. When Benzophenone absorbs UV light, it breaks down into free radicals that age skin and can cause cancer.

Triethanolamine, another UV blocker, combines with nitrites (often used as preservatives in minute quantities not listed on sunscreen labels) to form carcinogenic nitrosamines. In addition to being free radical generators, many of the chemicals used in sunscreens are hormone disruptors and have estrogenic activity in the human body.

Sunlight and healthy skin:
according to several studies appropriate sun exposure actually helps prevent skin cancer. Now research shows that melanoma occurrence has been found to decrease with greater sun exposure, and can be increased by sunscreens. It is interesting that melanoma is actually more common in indoor workers than in outdoor workers, and is more common in regions of your body that are not exposed to the sun at all.

When will the next solar storm hit, in 2012?

On the nights of 2. and 3. of May a solar particle front from the sun raced to earth and created a long-lasting geomagnetic storm that flared up in many regions as bright auroras. Overall our star still shows a rather subdued activity, but this could change significantly. Every 11 years a maximum in solar activity is expected, the so called solar cycle. The last maximum was in 2001, the next maximum is expected around the year 2012. Huge solar eruptions are expected, possibly with a super solar storm 2012, which could create a widespread electricity outages and general chaos. The last huge solar storm happened in 1859, but that was before the age of electronics and computers!

NASA prediction: strong to severe! Earth orbiting satellites could get disoriented and we could see “widespread voltage control problems” among other issues.

Within the last few weeks and months, there were lots of fiery eruptions, gigantic hydrogen jets, which overshot the glowing surface of the sun. There are more sun spots now also. Large solar storms can become a real source of danger.

What happened on the 1. September 1859? The connections via telegraph lines worldwide broke down, spark discharges hit the staff in the telegraph offices, many fires broke out. In August 1972 a smaller solar storm affected the telephone lines in Illinois. In March 1989 a more severe sun storm hit the earth and caused some chaos in Canada. The Canadian stock exchange lost there computers, automatic garage door openers got crazy, even in New Jersey transformers melted and some satellites in earth orbit got into serious trouble too.

Nowadays our society is even more vulnerable, we rely completely on internet connections, GPS, radar, satellite communications and electricity. If a solar storm like 1859 would hit today, the impacts would be enormous for the economy and our private life also.
